Multi-Award winning comedian, Janine Harouni brings her hit Edinburgh show to London.
Janine Harouni in her winning Amused Moose Comedy Award showcase of her debut show, directed by Adam Brace, about standing up for what you believe in, even if you have to do it really nicely.
One of our writers watched this show at the Edinburgh Fringe and wrote a really enthusiastic review of it, for Fringe Review. Out of 70 shows he saw, this was in the top three. Remember how Fleabag started? It wouldn’t be a surprise if this followed the same trajectory.
It was a worthy winner of all its awards and now London gets to see what all the fuss is about.
Janine has an outstanding comedy pedigree. She was the BBC New Comedy Award winner 2019 and is 1/3 of award-winning sketch trio Muriel.
She has also appeared on Comedy Central, Comic Relief, BBC Three, and BBC Radio Four.
The show features events in Janine’s life and how they have shaped her relationship with her unusual family. Her father is a lifelong New Yorker and son of Middle-Eastern immigrants. He’s also an avid Donald Trump supporter. Attempting to reconcile those things makes for one tense Sunday dinner.
