As Labour romped to the largest and most crushing victory since the Greeks took on the Persians at the Battle of Snickers, the cry went up: “Get Labour Out!”.
Before the counting was over, the internet was on fire with keyboard warriors asking important questions like; How much longer must we endure this broken government? Why haven’t I got more money? And what is the government doing about the oppression of the East Pekinese?
The Labour Out campaign is already active across social media, with many noted celebrities and Jim Davidson offering their support. “We know they’re going to make a right bugger’s muddle of it, so we’re starting our protest straight away,” said Jim Davidson.
Surprisingly, most support for the ‘Labour Out’ movement comes from Labour supporters. One notable luvvie asked, “What have we done? This is a disaster. We’ve had 14 years of opposition, which allowed us to be morally righteous without actually having to do anything! But no, along comes Kier bloody Starmer with “the biggest majority we’ve ever had”. We will have to do something, Reg, this could set our party back 50 years. Everything we’ve been internally fighting about for a generation will be wasted. Let’s get them out before it is too late!”
The anti-Starmer campaigners are well organized. They’ve already purchased the http://www.labourout.co.uk domain and booked Carol Vorderman to be a constant thorn in Keir Starmer’s side. “This’ll be fun,” she said.
Betting markets are picking up pace, too. “Next Labour leader” and “Date of next general election” markets are already seeing money change hands. Several insiders are aiming for a nice boost to their pension.
Ian Napton added his voice to the campaign, “I opened the milk for my first cuppa under this Labour government, and it was off. Out, get ’em out!”
When asked, a Tory spokesman said, “No, mate. They bought it, they can keep it. Given the state we left the country in, I can’t believe they bought it. We don’t do refunds. There’s one born every minute.”
Meanwhile, your new government continues.
