Jacob Rees-Mogg to become the face of lounge furniture

A bespoke armchair and chaise-longue manufacturer have chosen Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg to be the brand ambassador and new face of their company: PomPosity.

Mr Rees-Mogg shall appear in a series of televisual adverts for the company, and will ‘pose in a variety of positions’, showing off the range of products PomPosity have to offer.

CEO of PomPosity, Pasun Vrainom, said, “I was just flicking through the channels and suddenly came across coverage from the House of Commons. The camera cut and panned from dreary old MP to dishevelled member of parliament until it rested for a second on this magnificent beast. Legs stretched out, arms casually resting back, eyes closed, chins plenty, and I thought, this is my guy.”

Mr Rees-Mogg received a barrage of backlash from the general public after photos emerged online of his somewhat relaxed demeanour. He was subsequently branded as ‘entitled, arrogant and smug’, but that didn’t stop Mr Vrainom from inviting the Conservative MP to a photoshoot.

We brought him to our private studios and had him pose lavishly across a variety of other furniture, with a professional photographer on hand.” Mr Rees-Mogg was photographed scooting around on a spinning office chair, slouched forward on an old bar stool and straddling a toilet seat, amongst other seating arrangements.

Mr Rees-Mogg has already appeared in a magazine shoot for PomPosity, which revealed their new slogan: “Call me Jacob...”
