French fashion labels to make COVID-19 face masks (with bling)

The fashion giants Saint Laurent and Balenciaga are to produce of face masks in response to the coronavirus crisis – but with a difference.

A spokesperson from their French parent group Kering said on Sunday “We are glad to assist with the manufacture of face masks at this time. However, this is also not a time for complacency in our design ethos. Both of us will not produce just a plain functional face mask with no panache

Our teams have been working day and night on 48-hour shifts to come up with designs maintaining the reputation of the French fashion industry. The leaning is currently toward incorporating diamonte, pink for the ladies, and blue for the gentlemen, plus a combination of both colours for those in between.
