Get 40% off the Rolls Royce Reeves

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, based in Goodwood, Sussex, have announced their latest model, the Rolls-Royce Reeves, for sale at an eye-watering £400,000 before optional extras.

Sales Director, Ian Napton, told us, “Naturally, Rolls-Royce clients are all phenomenally wealthy, and it wouldn’t seem right if we didn’t overcharge them, but we’ve noticed an attitude shift among the wealthy elite in recent times, and we saw an opportunity to address this.

The latest model, “The Reeves”, comes with every possible luxury the world’s wealthiest could desire. Diamond-encrusted headlining depicting the night sky come as standard. So as not to risk a snag in their perfect hides, soft leather upholstery is provided by cows who have never seen a wire fence in their shortened lives. Perfection is only the beginning.

Such luxury comes at a financial cost, however. “By the time a client has ticked the options list, we think these cars could have a £1,000,000 price tag attached,” Napton said. Quizzed on whether that’s a lot to pay for a car, Napton explained, “Clients have been telling us they’d rather enjoy their wealth while they’re alive than have it wasted on inheritance tax after they’ve gone. The way they see it, everything they buy now comes with an effective 40% contribution from the Exchequer. It’s like tax relief on pension contributions, but more fun.”

Asked about the new model’s name, Napton said, “We have to acknowledge the inspiration for the new car. Since the government is deluded enough to think they can tax the rich, they can’t be surprised when the rich find ways to fleece the Treasury. The Rolls-Royce Reeves is the result of that.”

Rolls-Royce isn’t the only luxury brand that has noticed this phenomenon. Princess Yachts and Rolex are reporting similar trends. One Princess Yachts client, Mr Sunak, told us, “Yesterday, I collected my new Rolls-Royce from Goodwood and immediately drove to Plymouth, collecting 40% Treasury contributions at every petrol station I stopped at, to visit the marina where I ordered my new yacht. I had to buy it. It was a bargain with 40% off. I’ll have it moored in Monaco as soon as it’s sea-worthy.”

Meanwhile, the government continues to believe it’s in charge.
